Hello. I have a very annoying Fn key or Function Key, and I have to use it when I am using keyboard shortcuts like Alt+F4.

Instead of using Alt+F4, I have to use Fn+Alt+F4, which is very annoying and I hate moving my fingers in that configuration as it is very annoying.

Is there anyway to disable this Function Key in the settings for good?

OS - Windows 8.1

Laptop - Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro

hi.

Hi, my dad had the same problem with a Lenovo Yoga, I think it was an older model, he fixed by going into the BIOS, there is an option to disable/reverse Hotkeys

No option like that for me in the BIOS. The BIOS itself looks very barebones.

Hmm, maybe go into the bios and look for an option there.

Same reply as above.

For the Thinkpads there is a function lock (fn+esc) or a bios setting. If it is active the green led of the function key is always on.

Not a Thinkpad. Fn + Esc doesn't work.

Yeah. In bios settings, you can disable it, but if you have an extra keyboard, you can just press numb lock off and check if it work

Don't have an extra keyboard as I am at school. No option for it in the BIOS.

I will try and have a second look. Thanks for the replies though!
