GTX560 Ti artifacts

Hi! 

 

I'm new here and I probably have a really noobie question. I decided that I'd try to make my old i5 750 with GTX560 Ti somewhat able to play games on. The CPU I had no problem with overclocking and getting stable at 3.7 GHz. RAM was also easy overclocking about 70%. Now, the GPU is starting to give me artifacts. It's clocked to 930 MHz and the video RAM is at 2200 MHz. Does these artifacts appear because of low voltage? Please see attached video.

Is that GPU overclocked and if it is, then put it back to stock and look for artifacts.

GPUs and Memory clocks affect artifacts, so if you use a higher clock on all games it's more as noticeable, from my experience I can OC more in GTA5 than in Ghost Recon. about a 200MHz difference. Depends on what a game does and which game it is.

Stock speed is 833 MHz. At 880 MHz with memory at 1900 MHz (as it's currently running) it runs just fine, but it doesn't give me the performance boost I'm trying to achieve.

That means your overclock is unstable, try adding more voltage.

Don't know much about the 560Ti, but plan on adding the 560 Nukem to my collection. Overvolt it.

Weirdest thing. Turns out I cannot overvoltage my gpu, at least not with MSI Afterburner, however it is now stable at gpu at > 1000 MHz. 

 

Edit/update: still stable at continuous full load (not synthetic) since over six hours. However, I suspect there might be some throttling because the performance boost isn't as great anymore.
