ok so basicaly im purchasing pc parts to build my first pc, but i wanted RGB. im getting the cooler master h500p and the asus z370 TUF. the mobo only has 1 RGB header but im planning on getting 5 more RGB fans plus the two 200mm RGB fans that come with the case. everything RGB im getting has asus aura sync. how do i plug in all 7 RGB fans if i only have 1 RGB header on the mobo, i thought about getting the cooler master fan controler but it only has 4 slots. so my question is, how do i plug in all 7 RGB fans without losing the aura sync feature

Welcome to the forums!

For RGB syncing you can wire up more than one device to an RGB header using splitters. As you add more devices the more amperage it will draw so you must calaculate the total your devices will use and ensure it stays below the max amperage the header can supply. There are power RGB splitters if you need to distribute it to many RGB devices or if it goes past the rating of the header.

The sync feature is all software dependent from the header of the motherboard splitters will only allow for more devices to connect to it. That silverstone RGB hub is ideal for something like this since it can provide auxiliary power.

also is this compatible for any RGB fan or just the silverstone RGB products

The connector Silverstone uses is the JST XH type which is different form the basic 4 pin used on RGB products. Depending on what fans your getting you may need something like theses to connect to the hub:

Your fans if they are RGB they will have a 4 pin and a fan connection is completely different form the RGB system for fan control.

Also if you can get it Akasa also makes an RGB power hub for devices that use the standard 4 pin connector, while being able to sync.

Just remember those adapter cables due to the different connection.
