the X5650 is probably the best bang for the buck, but you can find the other X56xx processors here: https://ark.intel.com/search?q=x56 (be sure to get a 6 core part, the others aren't really that good)

I am looking for a Xeon CPU for LGA1366 for my new server. I want to know what the best high performance processor is for that socket.
The server also did come with 2 X5540s, so should I even consider getting a new pair of CPUs?

Yeah looking at ebay and comparing to other CPUs I was considering the 5650 is way cheaper thank you for the suggestion.
