GPU vga connector

Hi

 

I have an asus R9 290X with a Morpheus cooler on it. I first connected the fans on the motherboard and they worked perfectly. However they run at full speed.

Since i'm all about "quietness", I bought a "5-Pin VGA PWM Mini PH Connector to Dual PWM 4-Pin Fan Cable Splitter" which fit on the graphic card itself (see picture).

 

I connected it and both lights of the card light up so everything "aah ok". When turning on, the fan didn't spin up. And they don't do it after heating up de card. 

 

How can I fix this? 

Do I need to reset something?
