I was trying to build a rig on the cheap side, but still with decent hardware.

I already selected most of it and I ended up with a total power needed of 450w.

I was trying to leave some space for future upgrades so I was planning to stay around 600/700w.

Which brand/model should I buy?

Then why not get a good 450W, when that's all you need and you want to save money?!
A 450W Bitfenix Formula makes more sense than a 650W Thermaltake Smart or Corsair VS 650 and even cost about the same.

But the Bitfenix is the better choice....

For "future Upgrades", 550W is more than enough with a pretty big headroom.

I use _TWO_ 7970GHz on my 550W Cougar GX-F with still around 30W to spare.

So 550W is a pretty big deal...

Oh and with all the shit going on right now, expect the graphics cards to get more expensive, so a 250W TDP card should be expected to cost at least 750€, probably even more than that...

Unless you plan to SLI cards for no reason, 550W is plenty for upgrades with overclocking.

A Corsair CX550M should do fine and isn't that expensive.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

List all of your other components.  I seriously doubt you need a 700W PSU.

TL;DR get a CX550M

It's almost certainly unnecessary to get such a high wattage PSU for a build consuming that much power. The only reason I have an 850W in my rig (about as high end as it gets without going X299/TR4) is because it was cheap - I could run it easily on a 650w or even a 550W although that'd be a bit closer than I'd personally like with high OCs. Whatever rig you have almost certainly isn't that power hungry and so you will be fine with a 550W. A Corsair CX550M is $35 right now and will be more than enough, but you could step up to an EVGA GQ/G2/G3 550/650W, Corsair RM550/650x, Seasonic Focus+ Gold or G 550/650W. All of these will power up to a GTX 1080 or even a 1080 Ti in many cases without trouble. Hope this helps
