Step 1: Nuke that freaking drive; make sure it is completely disconnected from your network.

Step 2: Reconnect to network and reinstall windows.

Seriously if you don't care about the data there's no point in keeping it.

I got this thing for my mom. It's an hp pavilion all in one, model 20-r118. Just wondering if anyone knows about these and any hitches they may have? She's just going to use it for Facebook and general internet usage. It's used and was bluescreening 30 seconds into booting. Doing a full reset.

If it's as bad as you say, I would do a clean install of Windows. If all the hardware is fine, then there isn't much to worry about.
