My First Rig

 After years of using laptops, netbooks and desktops that were outdated in 2001 I have decided to build my first gaming rig, with help from an experienced pc builder, Most of my parts are used from eBay. I'm not trying to run the most recent AAA games but I am trying to games from 2016.      

 

Parts

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor 

Cooling: Corsair H100i GTX 240mm Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (eBay auction if I lose I will be using the stock intel cooler) 

GPU: ASUS GTX 760 (2048 MB) (GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5)

Motherboard: MSI z77ma-g45

RAM: 8 GB DDR3

PSU: AeroCool Integrator 600W 85+ PC Gaming Power Supply 120mm Fan Active PFC PSU

Optical drive: Internal SATA DVD RW Disc Drive 5.25

Storage: WD Blue Desktop 1TB SATA III 3.5" Hard Drive - 7200RPM, 64MB Cache + Drevo X1 SSD 240GB 2.5-inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive 550MB/S 470MB/S

Case: Cit Dark Soul Black Gaming Midi ATX PC Case 12cm Blue LED Fan Side Window USB3.0

 

I still need to sort out case fans also the motherboard IO shield is missing but I can't find any for a reasonable price.

 

 

If anyone has upgraded ideas please let me know.

That seems mostly okay except for the GPU and PSU. I would get a Corsair CX550M and see about upgrading the GPU if possible. What resolution and framerates are you trying to hit?

What's your goal for FPS, settings, and resolution?

I'm looking for at least 60 fps, 1080p at medium to high settings.

  I don't really have a budget but I want to keep the cost as low as I can.

For 1080p60, I would honestly recommend nothing lower in power than a GTX 780. A 1060 3Gb for example would work just fine.
