where should i plug in my HDMI cable?

Hello! i recently just got an HTC VIVE and i was wondering where to plug in its hdmi cable. The hdmi port on my monitor is currently occupied by my monitors hdmi cable. Does it make a difference if i plug it in via motherboard HDMI. Please help.

You can only plug it into the GPU.MOBO HDMI will not work if you use a dedicated GPU.Also you could have just tried in the time you spent on this post

so your saying to plug it in to the mobo, not the gpu? will that result in graphic differences? @Himommies

The HTC Vive should come with a box where the HTC vive connects with 3 wires, plug an hdmi into the other side of the box and then into your graphics card.

Just plug the cable from the headset into the gpu, if you don't have an available port on your gpu, then I guess you'll have to buy a converter.
