Hello, I am in the process of building a new computer away from my work station that will house all my VR games and regular games.  My board is optane ready ,  z270 ASROCK gaming k6    Intel 7700k  ,  I already have an SSD where the  OS will be stored along with any application I plan to install.  of course any and all installation will be for gaming purposes only.   All of my games will be stored on a 6 or 8 TB drive for storage outside of the SSD.  My question is ,  can I direct the OPTANE memory module to interact with the storage HDD vs pointing too my boot drive ?  I would like the assistance for the HDD that has the 8TB.  That makes much more sense to me then anything else .  My hope is that it would be somewhere in the Bios to make sure the Optane would would point to the storage drive.

Thanks

Yep you can do that

But id suggest don't use optane, and get a bigger 250 or 500gb sata ssd and use storage spaces tiering built into windows.
