Hey guys, I am planning on building my first gaming pc, I am going to spend around $1200 on it, I made a build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hbZgbX and am planning on using a wifi card. Could you guys check out my build and tell me if it could run most games at mid-high settings? Any suggestions are appreciated, Thanks!

That is the case with Ryzen,it has very little effect on Gaming performance on intel CPU's.At most your getting .5 more FPS

you could use the 8600k with a cooler to overclock it, but you could also use a 8400 with like a 1070 ti. overclock that and you'll get about stock gtx 1080 perforce. In gaming you'll get great results. Just use 2x8 with it. and of course a SSD

Why does the case lack pricing? Are you getting it for free?

Other than that.

For gaming, get the 8400 instead. Significantly cheaper, and games will be GPU bottlenecked anyway. Alternatively, the 8700. You won't be overclocking much with the cooler anyway.

That's a very high end motherboard. Consider a budget motherboard, or something like a Prime-A, Extreme4, K6 or M5.

Get faster RAM.

Get a 250GB SSD. The SL308, MX500 and MX300 are reasonably priced good SSDs.

With a $1200 build, you should get a higher end GPU than the 1060. Some versions of the 1070 Ti go for a bit under $500. On EVGA's site, the SC Hybrid goes for $500.

Do keep in mind that the H440 has absolutely laughably bad airflow. Consider something like the Meshify C.

The NEX is an overpriced piece of crap PSU. Get the Whisper M 450W instead.

Get a Windows key from Reddit or Kinguin for $25.

:)

For this type of build, the main idea is to get as much GPU as possible, then slide in just enough CPU to manage it. I'd recommend the i5-8400 or 8500. Given where gaming sits, unless you're getting a 1080 Ti and drop a 5 Ghz OC on something, you're not going to get any extra performance. I'd still get a Z-series board for around 150-180 USD. They're nice boards and, in theory, you could drop a 8700k in there in the future. Say in 2 GPU generations.

I'm pretty sure you'll want to get a separate WiFi card, rather than a built-in one. Built-in are nice from a cost perspective, but if you're going to be using it heavily, you'll almost assuredly want a stand-alone PCIe-based card.

@seon123 Do you think the MSI GTX 1070 TI GAMING 8G is a ok graphics card?

The Gaming X is fine, but since you can get an AiO cooled one for $500 without a mail in rebate, get that one instead.

@Taf the GhostYeah, someone told me that I shouldent buy a motherboard with a built in one, What im asking is for a good motherboard that could accept a A PCIe Wifi card

Well, any mini-ITX should be able to. They all use PCIe x1 slots.

Those seem to be rather popular choices.

@seon123 the one you suggested me was $560, so do you think that the MSI GTX 1070 TI GAMING 8G would be ok? If not could you reccomend a good graphics card for gaming?  Because it is a little bit out of my budget

Look at the pricing on EVGA's website, in the link. Not in the other merchants. The card you're asking about is fine.

@Taf the Ghost Thank you, Im looking at mini-ITX's and they look a little cheap. Im really new to this so all I need is suggestion or two for  a ok-good gaming motherboard that could support a wifi card. Thank all of you guys!

First run trying to fit everything into this build with a 1070 Ti. (Somehow, the 1070 & 1070 Ti are practically the same price. Boy the GPU prices are still annoying.) Windows can be found for cheaper, but there's still some places to compromise.

Should probably ask: What games? Do you have a monitor? What Reso/Hz?

This is about the low-range for trying to fit a 1070/Ti build. Next place to cut is the GPU down to a 1060 6G.
