No microphones work on my PC. None.

I discovered that the mic didn't work recently, after not having used it for quite some time, so I don't know when the problem started. Could be the latest Windows update?

Anyway, I've tried everything I can think of, except reinstalling Windows, and I can't make sense of it. Any other ideas before I reinstall?

I've seen tons of reports of microphones not working after a recent Windows update, all due to this privacy setting as shown in the picture below. Ensure Let apps use my microphone is toggled on and test your microphone again.

I have a Blue Snowball USB microphone. When I try using it in Discord, OBS or in-game, nobody can hear me. In the sound settings, under "Recording", it doesn't indicate any sound input on any device, not even the "Stereo Mix" device (which reflects whatever plays through the speakers). If I check the "Listen to this device" checkbox on any microphone, I can hear myself just fine, with that stupid annoying delay. But it still doesn't work with any apps or games.

I've tried uninstalling the driver in Device manager, unplugging the microphone, rebooting and plugging the microphone back in, but that didn't help either. The microphone works just fine with Discord on my laptop, which runs Fedora (Linux).
