Yeah, I may do that instead. It's a gaming PC mainly running games like CS:GO , Fortnite, GTA.

just get a sata drive then, it will make a very tiny difference.

Hey, I am trying to figure out which type of M.2 SSD would be compatible with my Asus H110M-E motherboard as a bootable drive for my PC.

Here is the User Guide to my motherboard: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1151/H110M-E_M2/E11622_H110M-E_M2_UM_web.pdf?_ga=2.3402994.35274363.1526757966-836597833.1526757966

Thanks!

1x 10GB/s M.2 Socket 3 with M Key, type 2242,2260,2280 storage devices support (both PCIE & SATA mode)

That's what it says in the manual.

So basically any M.2 SSD with a M-key. Most SSDs now have both, a B- & M-key.
Here is the difference between M-key and B-key M.2 devices:

Thanks!

According to the manual - page vi - the m.2 slot on the board supports all m.2 drives, Sata (AHCI) and NVMe, If you install an AHCI drive it'll share bandwidth with one of the regular sata ports.
