Missing Pins on CableMod Kit?

I recently bought a ModMesh Black and Blood Red kit to replace the cables on a 650w EVGA G1+ and noticed that the cables on the 24-pin cable are wired differently from the default cable. Has anyone else encountered this difference with the E-Series or other models? I don't want to use faulty cables, but I feel like CableMod knows what they're doing. I've already contacted them for support, but I wanted a second opinion. Any help is appreciated.

 

In the picture below, you can see there is a missing cable (and therefore contact point within the plastic header) in the CableMod version, but not the included EVGA cable.

Here you can see a cable missing from the header on the left CableMod cable:

That will be the case, but that diagram is for a different PSU series, made by a different OEM so not really relevant for this case. 

 

There's plenty of cables in the 23pin (and other cables) that aren't needed.

According to Cablemod's compatibility list, the G1+ is compatible with the same cables as the G3/G2/P2/T2. So same pinouts.

The link includes EVGA G series diagrams, which follow the same schematics (basically) as the G1+. I mean, if they didn't, CableMod wouldn't sell a single set for all those EVGA models.

@redsquirrel0249 that was the old pin assignment we had - we have since updated it though to match the EVGA pin assignment. These cables do still function all in the same even though they look different though. Please email Support@CableMod.com and we can have the new pin assignment cable made up and shipped to you if you would like - sorry for the confusion.

@CableMod Thanks, I got the response from the support team about it. The current cables look perfectly fine. You can really only notice the difference during install and from the back on SATA power cables. Besides, if I got new ones, I'd have to cut all my zipties and reinstall them.

 

@jonnyGURU I didn't read your original post, but yeah, that's the PSU side.
