Hey guys, I am a live streamer on twitch and currently have the following build :

AMD FX-8350

Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti (2Gb)

2 x DDR3 4GB

1 x DDR3 8GB

I was planning to upgrade to a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 in the month or so.

So instead of throwing away my already existing GTX 750 Ti, can I use it as a dedicated GPU for live encoding purposes for Twitch streaming, without display output or SLI?

I want to use the NVENC encoder as I generally play mostly CPU & GPU intensive games like CSGO, PUBG and Fortnite . Because if I remember correctly there is a GPU parameter in OBS advanced setting under NVENC encoder for streaming and if it is possible I want to make the most out of the cards.

You can't use the 750ti for just live encoding.,

Nvenc on geforce only uses one card, and the 1060 is a better card for this anyways. Also nvnenc doesn't slow down the game as its a separate part of the chip.

Alright, so is there anything I can do if I keep the 750ti plugged into another PCI-E slot?

I've tried this a couple times with multiple generations of GPU & it has actually worsened my performance; especially if you put another monitor on the old GPU.
