Screen not turning on Lenovo ideapad Y500

Hi

 

The screen of my Lenovo ideapad Y500 has stopped working. The laptop does still turn on for about 20 seconds and than shuts down.

 

Things I have tried so far:

  • Plugging it into external monitors (I've tried multiple with different connectors) does not work. I have tried this with only one and both gpu's.
  • I have tried switching the ram
  • I have tried reconnecting the monitor connectors (plugging it in and out)
  • I have tried looking with a flashlight at my screen, to see if the backlight is broken
  • I have tried disassembling and reassembling the laptop
  • I have tried switching the laptop on and off with and without an HDD

Does anyone have any clue what I could try next?

with it doing this in 20 secounds almost sounds like your power button is still making a connecting to force a shutdown. Just a theory.

Maybe mobo or GPU is dead
