In January of this year my old 775 gear was really getting on my nerves and decided to die on me, and I wasn't that flush for money at the time either. I already had a 4GB Kit of OCZ Gold series laying around so I didn't have to buy that. I decided to punt for an FM2 based quad core system which would cost around £140, however I didn't want a FM2 CPU with the on-board Radeon graphics. So in the end I went for the Athlon X4 740 and the Gigabyte F2A85X-D3H.

Phobya also sent me 2 of their G-Silent 14's in return for some graphic work I did so that was awesome :)

I was worried about the clips on the D14 shorting on the back of the card, it looks closer than it is but it's not touching. It shouldn't matter anyway because of the backplate on the 5850

  • 3 weeks later...

So glad I found this! I was considering an NH-D14 but was unsure whether it would fit, I really didn't want to replace the case cause I love the Shinobi way too much!

Your rig looks sweet man, love the colour scheme! (Excuse the 'misspelling' of colour here, I'm a Brit :P )
