I have a computer that won't boot.

If you were fiddling with the GPU before the problem occurred, then safely remove the GPU and try to boot again.

I have an old custom built pc. I got it from my step dad for my bday. That was at the start of November. I like to fiddle with things, even though my step dad said not to. I'm a curious boy. Anyways, I need help. It's booting normally then instead of going to the Windows loading screen it goes to a screen I don't know and makes a high pitch noise. I got scared I did something really bad and shut down my pc right away. It's an amd prosseser and I was fiddling with the graphics card. So I made sure it was tight. It was. I don't know what else to do. It's happened before and he banged it on the ground and it worked but I don't want to do that. And if I tell him he would be really mad at me for doing that. I really don't know what to do now. Any help is appreciated

It doesn't have integrated graphics it's an old amd

And I don't think pcs can run without graphics cards

Didn't see this one. :D:D

Just remove and install the GPU again. And the high pitching noise could be from the PSU. You cannot know for sure if you don't turn it on.

It the box where you connect your power source. If you have a high pitch noise coming from there, there is no way but to replace it.

Yeah sure. But keep in mind if any noise comes out of PSU, immediately turn off the PC.

if your father told you not to screw with it... don't. It's probably his house you'll risk burning to the ground.

Oh, I think I remember. That CPU dont have IGPU. But the motherboard has.

I remember frying my display. And I had to replace my motherboard.

I could be wrong. But you can run your pc without Discrete GPU.

Well. Now it's restarting a lot and saying your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart. It's done this maybe 7 times now.

I just thought of something. My pc has a 760 in it and that graphics card needs a 500 watt power supply. If my power supply isn't enough, how do i check how much wattage my psu is making?

USe PC Power supply calculator. But if it was working before, then there should not be a deficit in the wattage. What I would suggest is to unplug the connectors carefully and connecting them again. Let me know what happens.  :)
