It wont break, I've had mine turned up to 100 (indent have an amp though) for a couple hours, and it was fine. They will only break from just wear and tear, or if you throw them.

Yeah you dont need a static strap. And checking connections for sure, also make sure everything is seated right, and everything is also bolted in properly. -

If you have the cpu and ram for it, try.
