Technically yes, but a new PSU is a WAY better solution.

you think when i link a dollar 47 adapter i am able to spend 40 dollars on a new psu?

yes... except for when cheap parts are the only parts you can have. its not like this was my long term solution, i just have very little money.

Most, if not all graphics card boxes should have 1 - 2 of those adapters already included. I think they are either SATA to PCI or Molex to PCI.

 

Either way, they should be included. They are ugly though. Ketchup and mustard. Eh.

The point is, there is a possibility that using this adapter could do damage to the system. If it's all you got, then go for it.  If you can wait and save up for a PSU with a PCI power connector, then do that,
