I'm going to look into the installation of that cooler you recommended and see if it is compatible with my card.

It should be. The 1060 is listed under the compatibility list and the Windforce 1060 pcb is similar to reference.

So I'm sure everyone has seen Linus fix "dead" fans in his video titled Video Card Dead Fan Repair Guide.  I'm looking to do this to my Gigabyte GTX 1060 Windforce OC 6GB and I'm looking for recommendations on fans. Or if by any chance you know of a custom water cooling solution that isn't sketchy let me know. But my goal is reliability so fans will probably be what I use. I'm also going to attempt to grease the fans and see if that helps with what I assume to be bad bearings, so if you know of a good nonconductive grease please share. Thanks B|

As shown in the video, NF-F12's are good: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/b2vRsY/noctua-case-fan-nff12pwm

Magmas are a cheaper alternative: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kFBv6h/enermax-case-fan-ucmaa12a

If you want something less ghetto than ziptieing fans to the original heatsink, a large cooler replacement would be better for cooling. https://www.amazon.com/ARCTIC-Accelero-Twin-Turbo-Cooler/dp/B005FYCFG8/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1526357798&sr=1-3&keywords=accelero

Thanks for the input I appreciate it! I'm going to look into the installation of that cooler you recommended and see if it is compatible with my card. If it is I'll probably go that route.
