For the most part the brand of gpu doesn't really matter except for the stock cooler provided on the card considering gpu boost will increase clocks until a thermal or power limit is reached. That being said each brand as its own lineup for each gpu e.g. 1070. For example gigabyte has 1070 windforce (base model), 1070 g1 gaming (middle), 1070 aorus (top of the line). The difference between the cards is relatively minor with the higher end models typically getting beefier coolers, higher factory oc's, binned cores, RGB lighting and so on. Asus's range goes from the 10XX turbo, 10XX STRIX, 10XX STRIX OC to the top of the line Poseidon platinum. For the most part you should pick out of these cards based on your budget and required features. Also note that it is better to get a 'lower model' 1070ti instead of a 'top of the line' 1070.

Good luck finding a GPU 9_9

both GPUs you gave links for are 1080tis

any brand works just fine, but the more fans and the bigger the card, the better the cooling.

I chose my 1080 by what brand had the most RGB, thats how little difference there is

Main Laptop: Google Pixelbook

Dev mode w/ Cross Enabled

PC: Ryzen 7

1700x / 32GB 2667 / GTX 1080 / 1.5 TB of SSDs / 1TB of HDDs

Monitor: AW3418DW Ultrawide

120hz / 3440x1440 / RGB / Amazonbasics Dual Monitor Arm

2nd Monitor: Dell U2515hx

25 inches / 1440p / Portrait / Amazonbasics Dual Monitor Arm

There is minimal difference between brands and you can get a general idea of what brand performs a smidge better by using UserBenchMark.com

They tell you the brands that perform the best and worst, but again, it's general

I'd go for the card with the best cooling, as you could probably OC that one better

My profile picure is real. That's what I look like in real life. I'm actually a blue and white African Wild Dog.

How you know which is better, is going on YouTube.

Most people go off price and get cheap stuff or based off looks. There is no best. Only best designed. Unless you want a kingpin. And that would answer your question.
