Your budget and throw distance are too small for a projector setup with 4K. Plus, 1080p will do you no justice sitting that close, unless you plan on having a 60 inch screen size. A 4K television will serve you better.

 

This is not a stab by any count. It's just my honest opinion.

I agree with the other sentiments expressed here. A 55" to 60" 4K TV is going to be a much better value (and way higher quality for the same price), and will fit the space much better.
 

You can find okay projectors in the $800 range, but only with lower resolutions.
