Microphone feedback.

Ok, so I had my computer at mine, but moved it down to my parents for the christmas period. (no way im spending days away from my baby)

any way, since moving it down to here ive noticed an issue. which is audio feedback, some odd reason I am getting microphone feedback. I am using a headset and ive turned off all the features which use system sounds (record what you hear) and i still have no idea what is causing the issue. Any ideas?

You mean you're hearing the mic, or the mic is picking up the headset sounds?

Its general feedback, so it will pick up random noise. as well as anything the microphone picks up will go into a feedback loop.

Ive tried both front and rear ports and getting the same from both.

Im using the on board audio for the Sniper M5 motherboard. tried using the software from windows 7 and the recond 3di software to find the issue, but the settings in both are as they should be. so I am clueles as to what is casuing it.

I'd wager some bitcoins that the problem lies in the headset. The circuitry in headsets is just plain cheap and often causes the mic to feedback into the audio or vice versa.

Fair enough, they are a cheap pair of creative headphones. so it wouldnt surprise me if you're right. Might get a set of krackens and see if the issue persists.

You could try a separate headphone and mic altogether...?  ^_^
