i7 6700k with Asus 170 deluxe And deepcool assassin II

Hello,

I built a computer in 2016 and cpu cooler was giving me some issues. I am using a spare I had laying around for now. The question I have is a friend of mine who live about 2 hours away has a DEEPCOOL GamerStorm ASSASSIN II that he said I could just have for my machine. I know my case is big enough so that's not an issue It's a custom case or I would share that. My concern is my motherboard and RAM and whether or not there is room for it there. Concerned it may push up against my RAM. I measured in my PC and I could just make the drive and try it out. I was curious if anyone has tried it with a similar build to my build or if they have ideas of how to create space. Including links to my build below. Only including the links of what might actually get in the way. I have thermaltake riser cables and the 1080ti is not close to this.

Any Help is appreciated. Worst comes to

Thanks.

EDIT: Just trying to avoid the drive if it won't fit in there because then I would take it back to him.

Yes, it fits. The heatsink has 44mm of clearance for ram which is the height of TridentZ.
