Riotoro CR1080 and CR1288 are about as small as they come.

I think the first one is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for! It’s been awhile since I’ve built my PC, so I’ve kind of forgotten about all the technicalities and what not, could you do me a favor and see if my case switch is still compatible with these parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/zeska/saved/Kgzj4D , plus a PCI-e network adapter. Like I said I’ve lost some of my tech sense over the years and worry I might skip over a crucial detail. Much thanks!

Small for what reason? Are you aiming for low volume or small footprint?

My current H440 does not fit under my desk, and it’s kind of an eye sore

Is it too tall or too big in another dimension? What size does the case need to be to fit?

It will fit if you have a low profile cooler or an AIO. Coolers like the Hyper 212 EVO (standard 160mm tower coolers) are too tall

Do note that this case is a "dual chamber case" meaning they put the PSU "behind the motherboard tray" creating two separate areas. So while it shortens the case significantly, it widens the case a bit (about an inch)

Case Dims: 8.98 x 14.09 x 15.67 in
