It depends a little bit on the fans and how much amps they draw and how much amps the header can handle (your motherboard's manual should list this somewhere), but you'll probably be fine. I'm using dual and triple splitters as well.

Maybe get a fan hub with sata power to be safe. I know two fans is fine (as I am doing that) but it can just about run two fans so I would not really risk 3 fans.

I second grabbing an internal USB fan header and not risking things, or do the good ol’ Molex to Fan connection (on at 100% all the time)
