Asus Monitor Issue; Green Area at Top of Panel

hcarrillo

Asus ROG Swift PG278Q

Not sure how to explain it really. Theres an area at top of the panel that is green. Doesn't look like dead pixels. I uploaded a video to youtube to show whats wrong. I emailed Asus regarding the issue but wanted some thoughts on this. Note, I have taken extreme care of this panel so don't beleive this is end user fault but who knows.

Any insight would be great.

Is it permanent? Are you able to get it to disappear? Tried readjusting your video cables?

Kind of looks like a monitor burn-in/ghosting.

Tried:

+changing cables

+changing ports on video card

+trying another video card

+trying a different computer

+resetting default settings on monitor

+uninstalling and reinstalling drivers

Asus got back to me without an idea on what it could be but they agreed to RMA it so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully they could provide me some info later on.
