The Division not launching

So i bought the division on steam but i didn't play it for a month. And today when i tried to launch it it says install the division although the game is available in steamapps/common. When I try and launch it from Uplay it launches steam with again the message to install the game. There is no option of verify files. Any way i can fix this? I just don't want to download another 40 GB.

go in the uplay settings and see the game directory folder set it to the steamapps/common folder where the game is so it can launch you can find in properties or just go in the settings

Uplay detects the game but steam dosent. Its telling to download

1.8.1 dropped since you bought it. not sure how large the update is, but it might be thinking you need more than was previously patched.

 

also, you only have 10GB available?

so do same thing just on steam right click the game then find where its installed and tada or you can add a non steam game and just use the exe from the install and still use steam to launch it

The was was installed before the update and i did update it yesterday. When i launched it today it said unable to start uplay close and restart the game. I rebooted the pc instead and got the problem. PS The non steam method dosent work.

You didn't download the PTS game, did you? There's two versions, and the PTS version is still available for download, but not playable.

i'm at a loss. you might just have to D/L it again dude. Steam doesn't think you have the game installed in the folder you specified.
