Laptops stuttering while in game

My new bought laptop, Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G-51D3, stutters while in game.

Specs:

- i5 8250u

- nVidia MX150 2GB

- 4 GB RAM

- 1 TB 5400 RPM

 

I firstly thought it was the MX that was throttling due to the temperature (>73 degrees celsius), but I ran a stress test and it went over 73 without throttling. So what can I do to stop this stuttering?

Do you by chance have not been using "High Performance" battery mode ?

Yes I have been using it. Made a custom one because I only have balanced.

Actually, what are you playing ?
And is the stuttering in a noticeable pattern ? Maybe you can find a pattern of what causes it and then check out CPU/GPU usage ?

Overwatch, GTA V, Fortnite, CPU (sometimes) and GPU usage drops to 0% when it stutters and the RAM is maxed out (3,5GB saying in afterburner). Could it be caused by the lack of ram?

I'd say you are lacking ram.
