Ok I have this router for over 4 years and it's a "Wireless N Broadband Router" from Geek Squad. It's a Linksys. So what happens is my net slows to 1mb/s and cuts off from time time it's really annoying. Could I solve that problem with another router? Is the router the problem here?

Plug directly into your modem and see if your speed issues are resolved. It could also be your receiver. Process of elimination and then you'll know. Good luck

what that guy said.

When I plug it in my modem it won't connect to internet. Also my wireless adapter is Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230 . Any past problems with it? Maybe it could be the adapter.
