You don't have to buy windows, you can install it for free without a key, just go to microsoft's website and download their media creation tool to make a bootable USB.

But if you're going to live with a 750ti or GT 1030 then the APU has relatively the same performance for less money unless you're upgrading an existing system.

Doesn't make any sense to build a new system with a 750ti or GT 1030.

I'll get a GTX 1050 Ti instead with the money I save. Thanks though!

I'd probably just suggest living on the APU until GPU prices are normal.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I'm not exactly much of a gamer but do use more CPU intensive tasks so the 1600 seems like a far better option compared to the Ryzen quadcore's/APU's.

Might be worth dropping to a GTX 1050 tier GPU and getting an R7 1700 then

Most GPU models are already almost there.

Due to budget, I'm getting the 1600. I honestly did want to get the 1700 but no matter. I did go for the 1050 as well because I honestly don't game all that much. I don't even play the "most important game ever created (according to my friends)" fortnite. Thanks for all the help! I think I have my build ready to buy.
