If something was going to happen, it would of happened straight away (your computer shorting out)

Does your R4 still have the foam on the top two fan slots? if it does, well yeh water didn't get in.

I spilled less than a drop of water on top of my R4. Looks like nothing other than some cables could have been touched. Is it safe to assume that nothing is going to happen that could damage my computer?

Yeah your computer should be fine.
