Typo ;) 3.925ghz@1.365vcore ;)

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/X470-GAMING-PLUS/Overview

is what it says ;)

I don't care what the page says, I care about facts. If you look at the back of the board, you'll even see that the inductors for the Vcore are shorted in pairs of two. And the voltage controller for the board supports 4+2 phases, but doesn't support doubling.

:)

It's an "11" phase. The Vcore phases are doubled 4s, then the SOC has 3 phases. It's as electrically capable as a 4-phase. It's used on everything from MSI except for the most high-end boards.

Not doubled 4 phases, the controller doesn't support them. The SoC is a 2 phase. I'm guessing they're counting the memory phase as a phase. As in 8(even though 2 inductors≠2 phases)+2+1

They're definitely not silent. Looking at Tomshardware's review of the P2 750W  and Techpowerup's review of the G2 750W, and you can see that it stays with the fan off until ~350W at ~40°C, before it runs the fan at 8-900RPM.

The GQ and up is fine for EVGA, the main problem is the fan noise for those.

Yes, I meant that mostly when I am using them they are silent most of the time... until I do some more power hungry things. But in that event I usually have more ambient noise, or the case fans just pushing air cover the sounds, or whatever. I can only tell you from my experience of them. ATM I have 3x 650 G2 units, and one 850W P2.

I purposely overbought because I wanted them to be silent most of the time, rather than a crapshoot about the unit's longevity prospects etc and coil whine, or just excessive fan noise.

Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you.

The PSU is crap. Not because it's bronze rated, but because it's crap.

EVGA has a whole load of crappy PSUs, and all of their PSUs (except for the T2) are loud.

You are right its CRAP ;) .. just noticed today when running the system as a "testbench" aka outside a case and the PSU has a slight ticking noise when entering a main menu on a game when entering a game it ramps up the ticking and then a humming/hizzing noise.. ive sent RMA request at the shop.... ;)

Tnx again for letting me know what to look out for  !

A good 550W is absolutely plenty. Yes, the RM750x is plenty good, but so is the cheaper 550W version.

Other options are the Whisper M and Straight Power 11. Some less quiet options are the Focus Plus Gold, G2/G3,  Cooler Master V, TXM and Focus Gold.

thing is i can ONLY buy from them since they will not refund the money on a warranty issue they will replace with the same or a gift card... i had the same issue when my 1070 broke and they gave me a gift card instead of a replacement gpu... im done shopping there btw.. will only use the Gift card and thats it ;/

It's tier 1. Though you'd be better off saving 100kr and getting one of the 550-650W models.
