Any changes to this build?

Go to solution Solved by _ASSASSIN_,

if it's mostly gaming, go 4670K and get a modular/semimodular powersupply.

also, you should get a better GPU

and for the cooler, get a high end air cooler such as a NH-U12S or NH-U14S (noctua) or Dark Rock 2 (be quiet!) for the CPU

One of my friends needs a new pc. He does some animation, but he will be gaming mostly. Here is the build I have planned:

CPU:  Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£250.00 @ Ebuyer)
Motherboard:  MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£107.84 @ Scan.co.uk)
Memory:  Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  (£122.59 @ Scan.co.uk)
Storage:  Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk  (£93.65 @ Amazon UK)
Storage:  Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£59.99 @ Novatech)
Video Card:  MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card  (£269.72 @ Scan.co.uk)
Optical Drive:  Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer  (£11.98 @ Ebuyer)
Total: £1063.80

So what are your opinions of this build? Is it fine?

looks good if u are just gaming u could probs go with a 4670k and then get an aftermarket cooler for it.

Could you explain the difference between the 4670 and the 4770, remember my friend will be doing animation

Also the psu is semi modular mate

EDIT: ignore the first line im an idiot

EDIT2: Thank you for your responses!

The 4770 has hyperthreading and the 4670 does not.

A 8320/8350 would be better though if your friend is doing 3d since 3d programs like maya are highly optimized for the architecture of fx 8 cores.

Also, why not paste the permalink for the original list?
