found out if i work my butt off this summer i will be able to afford the pc i have always dreamed of building. anyways, i have narrowed the case choices down to 2 cases, the Antec DF 500 RGB or the Bitfenix Enso.
I am going for an all air cooled system as this will be my first build and don't want to mess with AIOs or Water cooling. I want to use the Dark Rock Pro 4 as a cpu cooler which is 162.8mm tall and the ENSO case only supports 160mm tall cpu cooler, so my question is do the 2.8mm matter or should i just go with the DF 500?

Antec DF 500 RGB: http://antec.com/product/case/df500rgb.php

Bitefenix Enso: https://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/chassis/enso/

Dark Rock Pro 4: https://www.bequiet.com/en/cpucooler/1378

TL;DR:
How much does size matter? would a 162.8mm cpu cooler squeeze into a case that supports 160mm cpu coolers?

I wouldn't go for either, but out of those two the Antec.

The Enso is literally a hot box.

Country is United States.
Budget: if i did the math right (and i did it 3 times) I should have about ~$3,300 by the time september rolls around.
Here is the current parts list I am wanting (Fans have not been added yet as i am still looking): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2pgj29

Uses: Mostly gaming, Media Encoding/Rendering, Would like to run servers for games for friends, and wouldn't mind streaming every now and then (would probably wait several months after i got this and save up for a capture card)
monitor is in pcpartpicker

Well here's a far more reasonable PC...

Ryzen 8 core is probably preferable for streaming, and the soldered IHS is nice.

don't need 32GBs of RAM

Should go for one of the IPS 1440p 144hz displays, better for daily use vs TN

1070ti makes way more sense for current pricing

But do you not even have a PC for now? What's your current budget? Because an R5 2400G APU system will be pretty alright and only cost like $500-600 max

In any event buy a case that actually has airflow, anything with a front mesh will do fine

Thanks for that. But I am going with the intel chip because as this will be the first system I ever build I would like to get into over clocking. Intel chips have a better potential for higher clock speeds when over clocking. And the reason that I want it to be  an overkill system is that this system (other than the addition of some more storage and a capture card) will most likely not be upgraded for many many years. As for the case tech Jesus has spoken and I will not be going with the enso. I will wait for reviews of the df 500 before I set anything in stone and I will keep looking for new case option. As this system will be my first system ever and I will probably not be able to get another system for maybe another decade I wanted the case to be slightly different than a box lol. Tempered glass is a must for me but I can see that options are limited for alternative design that exist for around $200. I’ll probably search for a long time for another case and just end up with some thing like the meshify C. Thank you for trying to save me money though. I appreciate it.

You can overclock Ryzen as well? Makes a lot more sense to me to get an R5 2600/X if you're only getting a 6 core CPU as it's a fair bit cheaper.

Are you going to be delidding the 8700K? as you'll likely run into the thermal limit when trying to go for 5.2/3 ghz.

But if you're going to spend that much why not get on X299 or X399?

In any event if you're waiting until the end of the year 8 core coffee lake parts, and next generation GPUs will be announced/released. Not too much reason to plan now.

But you can get an entirely capable system for like $1200 max. I wouldn't advise dumping $2.5k into a desktop/consumer platform system
