Is their any type of motherbaord chipset where i wont need to update my bios to use the Ryzen APU

thanks i was just curious ill just update the bios but buying a seperate proccesor to update the bios sucks ass

AMD is giving out BIOS update kits with a 1st Gen CPU for free, as long as you ship it back to them once you're done.

if you buy from a physical store, just ask them to do it for you. Most offer this as a free service.

Most motherboards are probably updated by now, otherwise AMD has free boot kits.

You probably want an ASrock Pro 4, usually the best value budget board, at least in the US

I'd stay away from the ASRock, and especially that board. It's given me a lot of issues. Sure, you might get lucky and get a good board, but the VRM is a 3+3, and doesn't give reliable voltage to the CPU. At least, that's the current consensus, best I can figure. Basically, the motherboard causes freezes a lot for no good reason, unless you undervolt the CPU and run stock ram timings.
