So you know how there's a GPU, but many different styles of coolers? (ASUS, MSI, EVGA) Say I buy an ASUS card and water cool it, it would essentially perform the same as an EVGA card correct? If I just put the EVGA card in the same rig water cool it and stuff.

Yes they will perform the same if you clock them to the same frequencies. Some of the cards have different clock speeds out of the box. You can manually override them.

remember they have to be reference pcbs to watercool unless the waterblock manufacture made a block specifically for that model card.

The only thing that 3rd party companies change on cards are cooler, memory, clock speed, and software.
