Another Possibly DEAD GPU! HELP!!

Hello!! Before we get started you can see the lesson I learned and why my title says Another here: 

once again I’ve had a pretty unfortunate day! After installing my Kraken G10 on yet another GTX1070 I got no post and the BIOS hangs thanks to the handy hard drive light indicating so. This time however I watched even more videos used an actual hex head (not channel locks) and pretty much did everything right. No carpet! I would be blown away to find out I schocked the card or even worse bend it because I applied pressure evenly and screwed on the water cooler very slowly also I worked using a anti static wrist band. Nothing smelled burnt either, this card is only about2-3 months old as it’s a replacement from my previous failure. The only thing that raised my suspicion was that when the GPU was in the slot it was a little jiggly as if it’s not

making full contact with the PCIE slot.  I’m in bed now so I can’t really provide quick details until later. Any help would be great! Please no hate I know I’m stupid and could have possibly destroyed an expensive card with a horrible bitcoin price increase. Thanks!

First question I have to ask.. did you boot up with the GPU before taking it apart to do the water cooling mod?

This and, did you try another PCIe device (or graphics card if you have it) in that slot?

If the slot is jiggly it might even be the slot.

Update: yes to the first question and if I run into any more problems I will test with my GT 1030. But this morning was relieving, I re-seated the GPU like I should have done to begin with and it posted and booted! We’ll see where this takes me! Thanks for the replies!!

Just a little update: The GPU works great and when under load sticks to around 60c with turbo fan preset which will increase speed if cpu gets hot. Gonna install speed fan to do some more custom fan curve and hopefully run according to GPU temp. Works great overall and very silent! ?
