Only 2 ram slots though, I know it sounds like im picky but I'm wanting to upgrade to another 2 sticks in future

what about this one, pretty sure it has the same star rating but:

I do like Asus products, I have used them in many builds. If so I would go with that one, asus has good customer service and a good RMA process.

You get a 90 day warranty with it according to newegg warranty page

Yeah, I guess since it's refurbished by newegg it'll be alright, only thing is, is that if the motherboard fries or whatever it takes my hardware with it

That's a possibility on any item you buy refurbished or not. I have bought used Items on Ebay that have worked for several years without issues but others fail.

Alright I'm going to go ahead and buy this, reviews are solid, and if it has problems i'll notice it before the 90 day warranty ends, thanks so much for the help!

The 2600X alone is $230, good luck finding a motherboard for $20 ;)

To the OP, either a Ryzen 1600 + cheap B350 motherboard for an all round machine

OR i5 8400 + B360 motherboard for a gaming machine

Avoid the A350 and H310 mobos if you can

Yeah I actually meant the 2600 - non-x.  I don't live in the US, so didn't know the exact pricing...  on pcpp comes out to $259 for the 2600/b350 mobo... yeah it's the non-x version, but a little OCing will work wonders. So it was $9 out of price range is all.

Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you.
