Great, then you really could care less about consumer rights which is entirely about sales. We're done here.

Nintendo? I can understand where you're coming from.

EA? Again.

Sony? Again.

You want small independent developers to pad their games in the hopes that purchasers will pass their refund window? There are a lot of games on Steam that are very good for the price, offer 20-40 hours of enjoyment and replay-ability, and can be beaten in a few days. You want those good games to try padding themselves out with collectathons of FEATHERS AND SH#T?!

I never said "pad" I said numerous times that pricing and quality go a long way so you're intentionally misrepresenting my argument so let me stop you right there and leave.

So what's the EU's solution to a potential issue that 14 days is enough for a lot of hardcore gamers to purchase, play, and beat the game (maybe not 100% it) and then get a full refund?

Unless that was the topic of discussion the past page or so.

The Steam policy is only tangentially related to EU legislation. The EU does not mandate that you can get a game refunded within 14 days if it's been used.

In any case, there's a 2 hours played limit in Steam's policy. That's very, very different from 14 days with unlimited access.

In the EU you have the right to return these purchases within 14 days for a full refund. You can do so for any reason – even if you simply changed your mind.

The 14-day "cooling off" period does not apply to all purchases. Some of the exemptions are:

The policy made it sound like that supersede's Steams "you can only play it for 2 hours," but otherwise that's good to know.
