Which Headset?

Hi all,

Because X-mas is here I've been looking at getting a new keyboard + headset.

Forgetting the keyboard I'm more interested in getting info about a new headset that I want. I have been looking at the Corsair Vengeance 2100 and my question is: 

Which type of 'connection' to get?

1) USB,

2) Wireless USB, 

3) 3.5mm jack.

 

I'm looking at getting a Asus Xonar DG 5.1 PCI Sound Card because it is cheap however does anything change if I get a 7.1 (thingy) headset and a 5.1 sound card? 

As you can probably tell I'm not really familiar with all this and any extra info will be much appreciated.

first off it is questionable whether you will notice a difference in sound when using a gaming headset with a soundcard

 

second the corsair is only ONLY ONLY done via usb so even if you had a sound card there is no way for the sound card to interface with the corsair. the wireless usb dongle on the corsair is the dac(soundcard)/transmitter 

 

search this forum going way back for my multiple pages of thoughts on the corsair 2000 which is basically the 2100

My corsair vengeance 1500 broke after a year and I can only hear them if I tilt myself 45 degrees forward. And since I don't have the receipt I can't get a new one. For a keyboard. There is always the deathadder. Although I think the K70 sounds and looks great, and since it is Corsair it is probably great.
