Hi peeps! First post ^^

Just got an i5 8600k (should be 6 cores and 6 threads), is it normal for HWMonitor to only display the cores?

Any way to know if the threads are working fine? I would like to see the threads as well, if that is possible :)

Thanks for any help on that!!

you got 6 cores meaning you got 6 threads, what seems to be the problem?

I had a problem with power spike and had to replace the power source (Corsair 500 for a 650), during this my MB shut down and was very hard to bring it back, but finally did it.

Dunno if HWMonitor did show the threads before this incident (like, instead of showing only the 6 cores).

No hyperthreading means 1 core = 1 thread. With an i5 you would never see more than 6 cores.

If you had an i7 8700 it would be 1 core = 2 thread and you would see double amount of logical cores. Though I do not think that HWMonitor would display them anyway as both threads run at the same frequency/temperature of their core.
