I'm pretty new to the whole pc thing. i've noticed I'm getting fps dips in r6s down into the 40s and 30s. I'm planning on doing a full pc overhaul but I was wondering if I could just replace my gpu first? (gigabyte ga 970 MB, 8 gigs ddr3, amd fx 6300 running at 3.6 gh, and a xfx radeon rx 560) i've noticed my pc uses about 100%of my gpu in game and around 50%of my cpu. I know I will have bottle neck if I got a 1070 but would it improve enough for me to see significant improvement until I can switch over to an I5 8600k?

It's always a good idea to plan ahead. I see no problem with buying a GPU that will bottleneck your current CPU, as long as the nex upgrade will make your system more balanced.

:D Thumbs up from me. Just make sure to really do your homework before buying a GPU (either used or new) in this crazy market.

Main rig: i7 8086K // EVGA Z370 Micro // 16GB Gskill TridentZ 3200Mhz CL14 // Sapphire Pulse RX 7800XT// a variety of noctua cooling // Corsair RM750x v2 //  Fractal Meshify C

Secondary rig: R5 3600 // MSI B450i Gaming Plus // 16GB Gskill FlareX 3200CL14 // MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X // Cooler Master V650 // Fractal Meshify C

Audio setup: Audient iD4 // Adam A7X // Sennheiser HD 650 // Sennheiser HD 25-II // Audio Technica M50x // Sennheiser Momentum 4

I would recommend going for CPU+mobo+DDR4 upgrade. Your CPU is starting to be really old at this point and you can't really improve with that mobo either. Your GPU shouldn't be issue.
