SLI or Get Another Single Card

Go to solution Solved by cjeffcoatjr,

SLI 660's will kill a 770, but single is usually better for power output, temperature, and so on and so forth. Go for the 770.

So I was thinking I just got my gaming rig and now I want to plan future upgrades. Should I SLI 660's or get like a single 770? Whats the best option?

Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas.

Sell your GTX 660 then I would say get a GTX 770. Also the 660 is not too good of a card that's why I'm not going to recommend it for gaming at over 1080p even if it 2 of them.

If you're going to SLI/Crossfire, do it right away with current cards. Adding the same gpu 1yr+ down the line is not really worth it. Better to single high end GPU. People usually wait too long before they consider adding another card that the next gen is out already.

Always single higher end card. Always.

Oh no you didn't.

I have a 660 Ti, and am going to buy another one soon. Why? I will pretty much get the performance of a Titan, for not much money at all. A 760 performs about the same as a 660 Ti, and in my country, a 660 Ti is cheaper. Yeah sure, power and heat esc, but damn they're powerful.

I personally don't enjoy 9-string guitars, but that doesn't change the fact that they look awesome as hell!
