nbden.com

anyone has experience with this ? nbden.com looks too good to be true and seems to have weird mail addresses for customer service etc. also what really irritates me is that it got to facebook as sponsored meaning ad message and in past few months i see spike in scamming ads there.

Thanks for any response.

don't you think that facebook should be held responsible for allowing scams like this to go on their site ? it's not normal post but rather targeted ad :( and not everyone has good domain knowledge about this prices etc.

But it's so blatantly obvious it's a scam...

EDIT: And Facebook doesn't give a shit. They just earn money from the ads. They don't care what the ad is.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa...whoa...whoa.........whoa............whoa.

Are you trying to tell me that laptops for 5% of their original price is "a scam"!?!?!??! Whatchu talkin 'bout Willis!?!?

It's a scam, end of. Anyone who has ever paid for anything at all should know you don't get something worth $2500 for $150.

It's super-easy to find out if site is real or not. Took me 5mins.

  • First scroll to bottom. Check what Copyright year is. If it's this year, not very much trust.
  • Next up are About, ToS and pages like that. Look for physical address, email, names etc. In this case they claim parent company is nbden Assest Management Limited founded in 80s. Why make site this year and have copyright say so? Also Google doesn't find said company.
  • From ToS we get email. Just it not having mask for this nor parent company is red flag, but you can follow with search. In this case top result say it's fake email related to scam.
  • You can do search with domain to see owners details. If they don't match with anything said...

There are other things to see too. Like how site works overall etc. Real companies don't promote unfinished sites on FB. That's just bad marketing.

my main issue with this is i reported this to facebook support and i got response there is nothing wrong with it like any other scamming site or ad i report. because im not US citizen i really doubt i can do anything more about this but facebook should be challenged with law enforcement for ignoring red flags set up by users on scams like this.

After all big talk, most of report are handled by automated system. I haven't reported much sites/ads, but I have few profiles. Got similar response and insta-reported again. Practically calling people handling report incompetent idiots.

Yep!!! It's really scam !!! Cuz for 5 or 6% from real price purchasing a hardware is fantastic ))) I'm trusting for avadirect.com or cyberpowerpc.com or sometimes dell.com  But if you now the prices are 10-20 times higher )) And there is real prices. In my opinion it's scam or stolen. I would not have dared to order from that site. But everything depends on you!!! Keep aside!!!

So they opened new ad on facebook in name of company VBD with exactly same page etc, interesting thing is that my report for previous page dissapeared from support centre and new one for this one wasn't even registered there, i don't care anymore.... why they have funcionality there that does nothing just tells you every time all is ok.

Like I said before, they don't really care. Advertising brings money. Your account is probably flagged for misuse of reporting function and they don't even register reports from you. That's also quite common. Only if there would be big deal (major publication or even mainstream press) made out of it, they would clean those out. For few months until dust settles. Then we'd be back to square one. Without any major party watching over these sites this will continue.

So when you hear talking about regulations and overseeing, this would be practical example of what would be limited.
