I'm a bit new to the indie game thing and other than fez what are some great ones?

Natural Selection 2 (Alien v Marines RTS/FPS, beware of strong learning curve, great community, lots of tutorials)

 

Rouge Legacey (metroidvania, rouge like, platformer and one of my personal favorites)

 

Binding of Issac (rouge like, zelda style game)

 

Terraria (like minecraft but 2D, a lot more stylized, and more interesting content)

 

These are the ones that I have played in my steam library, but there are a bunch more that people can list off.

eh there are so many good ones these days and a good place to get them is in Humble Bundles or other charity bundles

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Agreed Starbound is really awesome and so is Risk of Rain .. and Dust is just an awesome piece of art. More art than game.

 

But Starbound is #1 right now... early access :)
