Got something weird going on with my memory. I have the memory set to 2933mhz in the bios but this is how it shows in CPU-Z, I mean 1604.1??????

What gives? Good ol' Google hasn't shown me anything obvious, but I have this burning feeling its gonna be something dumb?

Anyone got an idea?

Dual channel.  So X2. You're at 2133.

OH, So I was missing something stupid. Thanks buddy.

This also highlights something for me. 2133 is the base for DDR4 right? So that means my RAM isn't running at what I thought it was. Which means I may have some compatibility issues with it running at 2933. Time to try 2666 I guess.

not dual channel, its double data rate, so ram is rated is mt/s, and mhz is half that. 2 transfers per clock. The channel count has nothing to do with this.

So I changed my Bios time back to 2666 and re ran cinebench, which showed a 40point drop. But CPU-Z does show the increase, to 1330.2 anyway.

Is this why it actually gave me a lower score?

For the sake of checking I put it back to 2933 and re ran, then got 549 ? huh? (might not have put the same timings)
