Randomly overheating gpu

Hi guys,

So i had this a couple times before: I turn on my computer and suddenly my GPU jumps to 90 degrees Celsius. While normally it runs on full throttle on like 60 degrees Celsius. Then if i turn of my computer and wait a day. I would just set back to normal. What the actual fuck? BTW my GPU is a 980 ti gigabyte xtreme waterforce. I tried to contact gigabyte several times but they are so freaking slow that i get response after a week when it works okay again and I would just let it go. (I have my GPU 3 years now and experienced this like 6 times on just random moments). My strange idea is that somehow the pump doesn't work anymore on these moments cause my fan is spinning as hard as it can cause it's on 90 degree so it's not the fan. It would really help if someone could help me cause i'm getting kinda sick of it. Especially cause I have to write an essay and my computer is unusable.

Thanks in advance,

Luuk :)
