So as a school project I will be comparing how well temps and over clocks compare in a few ways

 

For air I have a 212 evo with 2 LTT fans on it

For water H105 (thick dual 120) with 2 LTT 

DICE will be a home made one. Copper Pipe+ extra copper to add thermal mass.

 

VRMs will get extra cooling from 2 noctua redux 

Insulation for sub zero is kneaded art eraser

CPU is a core 2 quad

Motherboard EVGA nforce 780i SLI

Ram 8gb

PSU my RM750X

GPU TBD

 

Will be done before the end of May because of school dead lines.

I know but its trying it for the first time, getting some interesting data and maybe ill try it with something newer but I don't want to brick my main PC on run 1.

Ok so board is here and I found out what core 2 quad I got a Q9550.

9800GTX+ will be the gpu unless when I ask around one of my friends has something that I can SLI.

yep I have Cinebench r15 in there. 

Does GeekBench scale well or not I don't normal pay attention to it, 

 

 

So far I got a 3.4 at 1.375V under air but haven't gotten it under full load. hit 72 while playing CS GO.

working on getting the insulation on. 

Turns out the H105 doesn't fit on lga 775. For some reason I thought it did. I also wasn't original sure on platform and this would have worked on AM3 that was my OG plan had the board+cpu+ram not gone up to 110$.

Well I think I just killed my board. I got lots of cool pics but no real data other than an idling motherboard temp.

Windows screwed up an update and then it wouldn't boot past trying to fix windows. 

I may try again tomorrow but this sucks.
